I travel all over for weddings. Here are some South Seattle wedding venues I don't mind driving to, and your guests won't either! These lovely spaces are very different in their decor but they both have excellent service and great photo opportunities.

Trinity Tree Farm

In Issaquah, WA you'll find a lovely wedding venue that has beautiful rows of evergreen trees just waiting for the Christmas season. During the Summer months, couples come from all around to be married here. They boast multiple ceremony and reception sites so you have lots of options. They also have a dedicated staff that knows exactly how to make an event work in each space. They are flexible with outside vendors and boast a secluded feeling even though they aren't that far from downtown.

The Hyatt Regency 

The Hyatt Regency on Lake Washington has a completely different feel. This luxury hotel faces the south end of Lake Washington with views of Seattle in the distance. Next to the hotel is Gene Coulon Beach Park, a very popular spot. Families can often be seen picnicking here or wading with kids into the shallow waters of the lake. The hotel itself has multiple event spaces as well, so you can choose from one of their many ballrooms for your wedding. The food is all in house and very good. I loved the staircases, wood paneling on the walls, and the very modern lines throughout the entire hotel. 

 Laurel Creek Manor

Sumner is home to the elegant outdoor venue Laurel Creek Manor. It has the feel of an English country garden. I loved the ceremony area, the open field (great for fireworks), and the tented reception area. It's like having a backyard wedding but with a way better backyard than most homes. 

Museum of Flight

If you love air travel, history, or just giving your guests a unique experience this is a win. It was so cool to have dinner underneath a historic airplane. The large windows gave a ton of lovely light and a great view of the sunset!

Thornewood Castle

Okay, it's literally a castle. That is pretty amazing. It has beautiful gardens, access to the water at sunset and if you spend the night before you can get ready for your wedding in this historic bed and breakfast. It does have some drawbacks for the timeline so when I've worked with clients at this venue we have also visited Lakewold Gardens which is right around the corner. 

Lakewold Gardens

 Honestly, I prefer this space to Thornewood and for those that love Jane Austen, this is a dream come true. Perfect gardens with beautiful color and manicured spaces as well as some more forested spaces. The manor house is straight out of a romance novel. An outdoor ceremony and reception here on the front steps is swoon-worthy!
