There are a lot of wedding venues in Seattle but Sodo Park is something special.
Sodo Park Wedding
Annie and Nick came from across the country to get married in Seattle, where she grew up. We started the day in her childhood home in Mercer Island. Her sister and maid of honor joined with her for hair and makeup and then helped Annie to get dressed while Nick and his brother spent the morning downstairs writing vows and also getting ready for the big day. Once they both were ready for the first look, Annie rode with me to a nearby park trail for some photos.
Nick was hilarious during the first look! He was blown away by how great Annie looked and checked her out from every angle to all of our amusement. After a few more photos we headed to Sodo Park for family photos and the ceremony.
Stunning Decor
The floral arrangements alone were enough to make your jaw drop during this elegant affair. Sodo Park has a great blend of eclectic styles that really give it a wonderful Seattle vibe. I love the high ceilings, hanging chandeliers, and brightly colored walls.
Heartfelt Ceremony
For her wedding, Annie's father did double duty. He not only gave her away, but he performed the ceremony! The vows were beautiful and touching. Nick kept us laughing the entire day (he's very funny!) but it was great to also hear him speak from the heart about how much he loves Annie. Her vows were just as tender, and everyone enjoyed witnessing their union.
Laughter, Music, and Creme Brulee
During cocktail hour the team at Sodo Park reset the ceremony area into the reception. While they did this, the entire area was curtained off. This lead to a grand reveal as guests came in to find their seats. Annie and Nick greeted and laughed with guests as they enjoyed a lovely dinner, then it was time for toasts, cake, and the first dance.
The cake that they shared was made by Nick's mom and looked delicious. But I'm not sure that this couple tasted as much of the cake as they ended up wearing! Guests were treated to creme brulee (my favorite) and live music from the Hotsteppers band that put on a great show!

The team is incredibly professional and down to earth. They literally took care of everything and totally understood our "vision" for the day, even though we didn't really know how to put it into words or pictures. We were blown away by the service and food and decor. Also, doing a cross country wedding is not easy and they made it very easy!!!
- Any other vendors I missed? 321 Foto booth, was so awesome. They had an attendant and a guestbook made, and lifetime access to all photo booth pictures.
