Follow the steps below to prep for your upcoming maternity session:
- Select your attire about a week before your session. If you plan to try on dresses, please make an appointment. I will help you coordinate outfits for any family members that will also be photographed.
- Bring skin tone strapless bra and undergarments to wear with your selected dresses.
- Book an appointment for professional hair and makeup for the day of your shoot. If you need suggestions, I am happy to recommend trusted professionals.
- Consider getting a professional manicure or painting your nails with a neutral nail polish.
- Select 1-2 pairs of heels that coordinate with your selected attire. If you can't fit into any heels, that's okay! We can shoot barefoot.

Adding Family to Your Maternity Session
Bringing your partner and family to participate in your maternity photoshoot can enhance the experience in numerous ways. Here's a list of reasons why involving your loved ones can make your maternity photoshoot even more special:
-
Support and Comfort: Having your partner and family members present can provide emotional support and comfort during the photoshoot, especially if you feel nervous or self-conscious. Their presence can help you feel more relaxed, allowing you to focus on enjoying the moment and creating beautiful memories together.
-
Celebrating the Journey Together: Pregnancy is a journey that involves not only the expectant mother but also her partner and family members. Including them in the photoshoot allows everyone to celebrate this special milestone and bond over the anticipation of welcoming a new addition to the family. It's an opportunity to capture the love and excitement shared by all as you prepare to embark on this new chapter of your lives.
-
Capturing Authentic Moments: Your partner and family members play an integral role in your pregnancy journey, and their presence in the photoshoot can help capture authentic moments and emotions. Whether it's a tender embrace between you and your partner, a playful interaction with your children, or a loving gesture from a family member, these candid moments add depth and meaning to your maternity photos.
-
Creating Lasting Memories: Maternity photoshoots are a beautiful reminder of the love, joy, and anticipation surrounding your pregnancy. By including your partner and family members, you're creating lasting memories you can fondly look back on for years to come. These photos will not only document your pregnancy but also the strong bonds and connections shared within your family.
-
Involving Siblings-to-Be: If you have older children who will soon become siblings, including them in the photoshoot allows them to feel included and excited about the arrival of their new brother or sister. It's an opportunity to capture their enthusiasm and anticipation, creating treasured keepsakes they can look back on as they grow older.
-
Adding Variety to the Photos: Incorporating different family members into the photoshoot can add variety to your maternity photos and tell a more complete story. From intimate shots with your partner to playful moments with your children and tender interactions with extended family members, each photo captures a unique aspect of your pregnancy journey and the love shared within your family.
